This author has crafted an easy to understand guide with myriad opportunities for practice in developing the art and skill of writing a well-and-truly focused backstory. Another bonus of this book is the opportunity to practice reading as a writer. Focused Backstory: the Key to Writing Deep Character Journeys is a well-organized, thorough and highly valuable tool in the writer’s toolkit. I’m grateful to have this in my reference library and do most highly recommend this one!
